Artist Bio
Elizabeth was born and raised on a wild farmstead in rural Colorado without running water. The youngest child in a counterculture family of artists, she became enthralled with human stories and how we tell them, with how we illuminate the internal life inside each of us, at a young age.
This fascination has led her widely across mediums; painting, photography, filmmaking, acting, dancing, writing and poetry. She attended the acting conservatory at The Barrow Group Theater Co & School in New York City; is an alumni of Artist As Citizens at The Juilliard School and has won several acting and filmmaking awards. She also holds a certification as a somatic practitioner, helping to translate and bring the wisdom of the body home for her clients as well as grounding her artistic work in somatics. Her current work in poetry centers on the invisibility and permeability of parenthood in our modern world, sandwiched between the bedrock of how nature holds the world and how humanity is a river that we can’t help but drink from. She credits her wide sense of creativity, deep work ethic and determination to the wilderness of her upbringing. She lives in Colorado with her husband, son and rescue pup. |
