POETRY

My current project is a book of poetry.

The inspiration for the book was born from life. Honestly, becoming a mother in May 2020 felt a bit like turning my body into a house. This book is meant to feel like looking through the windows at the life lived within.

Told nonlinearly it is an intimate and unflinching invitation, examining the deep themes of motherhood and humanity in 2020: love and grief, invisibility, transformation, family and our collective cultural reckoning.

City Music

In an exciting collaboration with Michael Demski, Dana Nicole Morrison & Gesilayefa Azorbo, we created City Music.
A short dance film, choreographed to a poem, of the same name, that Elizabeth Woods-Darby wrote.
Filmed on location in Toronto, Canada.

City Music won the Jury's Choice Bronze Award  & The Second Place Audience Choice Award at the International Contact Dance Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
